Oh and dad still got the speeding fine!I
remember dad’s silly magic trick skit
he often did at talent night of summer
school- it wasmore like a gag of amagic
trick because it was so ridiculous and it
wasgreattoseedadtryingtodothis funny
showwhilehehimselfwaslaughing(which
wasrareenoughas itwas- itsoundedmore
like a snigger through his teeth!!!) while
humming the thememusic and trying to
hide his leg behind a tea towel!!! I was so
proudofmycrrrrazydad.
I remember dad and I running together
to the train stationhopingnot tomiss the
train towork and school in themornings,
and running in stepwitheachother. That
was fun!
I remember countless nights when dad
never went to bed but stayed up on the
computer doingmusic stuff for the choir-
he was still in the days work clothes, he
would grab a brief hour of sleep on the
couch early morning and then just go to
offworkasusual!
I remember during a particularly rough
patch in my teenage years I visited a
counsellor a few times, and on one of
these occasions dad took a few hours off
work to takeme tomyappointment.Then
aftermyappointment insteadofdropping
me back at school he tookme toHungry
Jacksandweate lunch together. I loved it.
I remember a lot! There are many more
too!Mymemories aremy treasures-what
aDad! Soblessed tocall youmyFather.
I remember the bush dances and talent
night magic acts, but most of all I
rememberGreg joining inonour football
matches.Mostofuswere inour teensand
feltstrong, fastand invincible.Wefeltthat
Greg, aman ‘old’ by our standards could
not possibly keep up with us. Whenever
he got the ball though, a look of fierce
determination would overcome him and
he literally bowled us all over. From that
dayon, I learntnot tounderestimateGreg
Parker. Little did I know, years later, I
wouldbehis son in law! Beingmarried to
a ‘Parker’ isnotwithout risk!
LoveyouGreg,youareafantasticfather in

example inmy life.
