DearGreg,Allah’u’Abha.
This is surprisinglyhard towrite. It’s not that
there isnothing to say, it just seems that there
is so much that has been done and so many
amazingmoments that I don’t knowwhere to
startorwhat towriteabout.
When I started this, I tried to think back to
when it was that I first got to know you (and
co.). When I first got to Perth in the January
of 1996 within the first few days Anisa Lewis
invited me to the last(?) performance of
Colours inKwinana. I believe it was also her
that had invited me to Forrestfield at some
point (mighthavebeenanewyear thing), but I
do recall herdescribing theParkers and “really
amazingpeople,who’d I’dprobably really like”.
Many Star Trek episodes later, amillionmiles
travelled, a CD or two, a production or so,
I’m delighted to absolutely agree with her
assessment.
Sometimes one’s real ability needs a canvas.
I’ve been immensely privileged to have been
able tobeof assistance to theseprojects inmy
ownway because these have enabledmy own
service. Even heavenly doors need a helping
handand theyhavebeen trulyopened.
Much,much,much love,
DLucas
DearGreg,
It’s abit cosmic forme to think that
around the time I came into this
world 40 years ago, youwere being
spirituallybornasaBaha’i.
I feel blessed to have that association, and it
doesmakeme ponder on these deeper bonds
that seem tobe there. Your faith in theCause
of the BlessedBeauty and lion-hearted efforts
toexpound it,aswellasyourmusic,havemade
a lasting impressiononme for the last20years
andmore. As a young foot-soldier, I have felt
reassured and energised to strive alongside
thechampionsof thearmyof light, thosewho
have felt the call and arisen to give their all
with good-humour and keeping their feet on
theground, friends likeyouandMal.
“As you soar in thegardenaboveandas you roar
in the forests of love, remember us”.
And send
somemusical inspiration thisway!
Did I ever tell you that ‘WhereDoes a Journey
Begin?’ is rightup there forme?
“Therewere tears in lovedone’s faces
Aswe left for foreignplaces
And fearsnodoubtabout our journey’s end
Butwe’dmade the rightdecision
Sowehada senseofmission
And trusted that ourLordprotectsHis friends”.
Withmuch loveand respect.
