over all those years I never really got to know
Greguntilhegot sick.Greg,whohimselfhada
seriousanddifficultillnesstookmetomymany
appointmentswhen I alsogot a serious illness.
He pickedme up, took to thehospital and sat
withme and consultedwith the doctors with
meand lovedme.During that time I reallygot
to seeGreg’s capacity for compassionput into
action with all that support. He will reap his
just reward inTheHeavenlyRealm.

In Albany we had so many lovely moments
together, engaging in deep and meaningful
conversationsaboutthegeniusofRoddenberry
and our favourite episodes, and the fact that
he considered me the trivia queen was high
praise indeed, andwarmed the cockles of my
heart. Incorporating some favourite episodes
into the Bahá’í radio program was complete
genius inmy opinion, even if others thought
otherwise.
The times when Malini, Greg and I sang
together, were some of the most precious.
Evenwhenwerehearsedtogetherandsounded
awful, the joy for me at being withGreg and
Mal outweighed any angst. When we finally
pulled it togetherand soundedprettyamazing
(inmyopinion), his comment thatour singing
was ‘OK!’ meant that we had passed muster
(high praise coming fromGreg). The synergy
and beauty of our three voices combinedwas
extraordinary for me, and I am so grateful to
them both, for letting me sing with them –
since theywereaprettyawesomedoubleact.
Our moments engaging in our own study
circlesofBooks 1- 7 (HarryPotter) speculating
about what Harry’s end would be, was also
somethingwonderful.
At University Greg was the HD King (High
Distinction grade). It was so much fun to
watch the competition between Janet and
Greg in scoring theirhighmarks andknowing
that despite their competitiveness howmuch
they loved and respected each other. For
someonewhodidnothave theopportunity to
go to University when he was younger, Greg
took to it like a duck to water and won over
many fellow students with his wit, brilliance
and all round goodness. The fact that he
knewhewas pretty clever, didn’t detract from
his attractiveness to others, in fact I think it
furtherendearedhim to them.
