Greg isahighlygiftedmusicianas
everyoneknows,butperhapswhat
is lessknown ishisdeepyearning
for spiritual connectionwithan
unknowableDivineand the intimate
communionwhich thenflows
through intohismusicand
his relationships.
His musical compositions live and breathe
spiritual realities and this is why hearts are
deeply moved: the glorious melodies and
harmonies, his pursuit of musical excellence
through theNewEraChoircombinedwithhis
healthy realism that not everyone is a gifted
musician (perhapsheknowswe just likebeing
in thechoir) andhisquirky senseofhumour.
Greg can be the bull in the China shop if he
is on a project ... But just under the skin is
the Greg who is many people’s best friend.
Greg will drop everything to help someone,
give his and Malini’s last dollar - probably
without consulting Malini- and jump in the
car immediately to support someone if they
were going through a tough time - just likehe
didwhenour familywent througha traumatic
time - he found out the news and then drove
all night (12 hours) to be with our family the
verynextday.
And so it isperfectlyunderstandable thatGreg
wouldwant to use his last breath to raise up
thechoironemoretimetosinggloriousmusic,
toenableover800+ luckypeople to soar in the
same heights which attract his yearning soul.
Anyone else with cancer which has advanced
like hiswould be at home in bedwith theTV
on or a book to distract them from the pain
anddiscomfort.
There is no-one quite likeGreg ... and there is
no-one quite like Greg’s partner Malini who
has weathered every storm, has been behind
the scenes coordinating and problem-solving
everymusical performance (as well as singing
in the choir) and has managed every health
crisiswithever-increasinggraceandresilience.
