For those who weren’t born yet, during the
Canberra International Baha’i Conference he
wrote andmade famous “Onward to Victory
under the Banner of Bahaullah” and a song
about The Greatest Holy Leaf, as that year
1982 was also the 150th anniversary of her
passing.Mona and I had the bounty to attend
the Conferencewherewemet Greg and sang
alongwith thosesongs.May I say Ihavebeena
Baha’i forquite some timeandhavemetmany
Baha’i musicians. Greg certainly is one if the
outstanding Bahai performers, arrangers and
composers.Thankyoubro.We loveyou.

Greg isoneofthosepeoplewhostandoutfrom
the crowd. Anyone meeting Greg will long
remember him. He has a unique perspective
on life that builds rapid rapport through
what appears to be a critical edge; only to be
sucked in to his life orb and be transformed
by the encounter. ForGreguplifts allwho are
touched by him. He exudes a sinceritywhich
nonecanchallenge.
Herein lies Greg’s contradiction. On the
outside, he projects gruff. But he’s a giant
teddy-bear on the inside; with a positive and
radiant perspective of life. Never before has
thisbeenmoredemonstrated thanwithGreg’s
encounterwith the lifebeyond. I’venevermet
anyone who had a more positive perspective
onwhat lies in store–or someone better able
to get you to look forward to the journey.
Muchof this is clearly a reflectionof his faith;
characteristicofacertitudeweshouldall envy.
Greg is also a master at translating vision
into reality. He is captivated by a hint of the
possible and musters together the resources
to make the dream real, surmounting every
obstacle that stands inhisway. Hiscapacity to
fashionmusical expression through the New
EraChoir is nothing short of legendary. Greg
hascarvedhisname in thehistoryof theBaha’i
community of Western Australia and has set
a high standard for the application of the arts
thatwill foreverberememberedandemulated.
Like so many, my heart has forever been
touched by Greg. I have learned a great deal
throughhim. Ihaveseenhow justonemancan
upliftanentiregeneration…howthatspiritcan
transcend the limitationsof thematerial realm
and elevate the very atmosphere inwhichone
moves… how the power of a positive outlook
can conquer every skeptic… and howwe can
all look with confidence to our own eternal
journeys.
I doubt that I have the strength of character
thatGregdoes…buthehas certainlygivenme
something toaspire towards.
Greg, you will always hold a special place in
my heart. I have no doubt we’ll be hanging
out together singinganddancing in theclouds
beyond.
